Joshua's 1 Year Old Birthday - Opening Gifts

Joshua's birthday was a lot of fun for him and the fun didn't stop there. After the party ended, the next day, he had more fun openning his gifts. Of course he does not how to open them, that's why Crystal is helping him. Check out the expressions on Joshua's face.

Crystal graduated from Pre-K class!

Just got around to post these pictures today. Crystal graduated from her Pre-K class on 6/9/2005. As you can tell from the pictures below, it was hot as hell that day, and the humidity must be around 100%. Crystal was so happy that she graduated from Pre-K and can't wait to get to kindergarden class!

Joshua's 1 Year Old Birthday

Finally, Joshua is 1 year old. Seems like it was only yesterday when Joshua was born. I guess "finally" was not the right word to start this series of pictures, but it was a hard year for Joshua. His skin condition (Eczema) has not gotten any better. Doctors and friends all said that Eczema clears up or gets a lot better after 2 or 3 years. We are definitely hoping for the best.

Not all is bad during Joshua's first year. He had lots of fun! He went back to Taiwan to visit grandpas and grandmas. He went to amusement parks. Not to mention countless play dates. Best of all, he had tons and tons of love from us, especially his sister, Crystal. Surprisingly, Crystal is very protective of her brother. She usually puts herself between Joshua and approaching strangers or if a friend of ours wanted to touch Joshua, Crystal would tried to stop them as if they were going to hurt him. It is very heart-warming to see that kind of bonding between them.

Well, here are some shots taken at Joshua's birthday party. There were 8 or 9 families at the house that day. I chose not to post any pictures that had them in it because I'm not sure how other people feel about having their pictures posted on the Internet. Nevertheless, we definitely had a blast (more than Joshua I believe :p).

Joshua's 1 Year Old Birthday Cake

Joshua couldn't wait to taste his cake before the "Happy Birthday" song.

Joshua looking on...

Hey, who's taking a picture of me ... again?

What was that? . . .

ohhh...just the the ballon string.

I guess the pirate's eye patch was not comfortable on the eye so Crystal used it to cover her forehead instead

Memorial Day weekend trip - Hersey Park

Over the memorial day weekend, we took a trip to Pennsylvania for a some fun and relaxation. We spent a day at Dutch Wonderland, which is a ok-sized kids amusement park (kids had a blast!), a day at Hershey Park, and a day at Strasburg Railroad Station. Check out the pics. Judging from the smile on Crystal and Joshua's face, I think we might be heading back in the near future.

Joshua's first merry-go-around ride... Check out the grip on the rope, we might have a rodeo in the making :)

Crystal poses under a rose bush... Lovely as ever!

Crystal on a Bumble Bee ride...That smile was on her face for the entire trip.

Eventhough Joshua was on his car seat/stroller most of the time, he seemed to make the best of it.

Are you kidding me? I'm not going on that ride with 360° loops!

Mommy...I think you should take the wheel...

...I think we should slowly back away from here...slowly, slowly, RUN MOM!

Happiness overload, need some serious down time!
